if you design the s/w to be worm proof or at least hardened to the various attacks.

However, logn term planning and design is not high in the Redmond's list of priorities, hence the ineffective security protection. As a matter of fact they are non-existent.

Who cares? longhorn will have 3D desktop and win-not_reallyFS. Security is taken care of ... by the antivirus companies.
