I don't know who this Senator is or what she stands for, but I am in agreement that some form of legislature is needed in public email service. If you leave it up to google, inc. or their commrades, spam will continue to over power, marketing organizations will get more powerful.

As for your comments, the bill isn't to make a decision for you. It is to round off corners that these marketing companies rule and dominate. If we had better legislation in the past, things would be alot better in email and marketing sickos. If you want to sign up for a spam infested service, be my guest. Don't come running back when you're overwhelmed with crap.

Lastly, the 1GB is a joke. If anyone reads the fine print you'll find that although you're given that size for storage, you'll never use it. You're still limited on size per each transaction. Actually, its just a marketing ploy that people like you get sucked into... Enjoy your Gmail and spam....
