OpenOffice doesn?t keep changing the menus and changing the steps to do things from one version to the next.



Let's see here, Microsoft hadn't significantly changed it's menu system, basically the same, for over 10 YEARS. I guess you have a very low tolerence to change. wow. And the new Office 2007 interface was constructed from extensive feedback from actual customers. Microsoft made Office more intuitive and brought the powerful tools out where they can easily be accessed and used. It's totally context sensitive so you never see options you don't need given your current context. It's very popular.
