Is all that matter?

Just few comment about your price table. You selected WXP pro (OEM)... but actually you are building this PC, So I think!!?? full retail version should apply instead. Sure you have individual/independent warranty for each pieces, but there is no support for the whole package. Is it just for browsing?, because you missed an Office suite, pick your choice...

If you are a PC skilled guy, go ahead; enjoy the ride to build you own PC "it is FUN"!!!, but if you aren't?? don't.... It will be quite "painfull".

Regarding your configuration my concern are

why you want a 64-bit CPU for a 32 bit OS? It is a waste of money.. with luck in 2006, you may be able to have Windows 64 bit OS... 64 bit CPU are here an available... does Apple (IBM) PowerPC G5 vexes you!!! then AMD 64 (as you mention it), Itaniun II, are availabe. Anyway MAC OS X, Unix and Linux are 64 bit OS (please don't bring Windows 2003... W2k3 is server OS, not a desktop OS).

Finally just thought, why people bother their a@@ to get BMW 325i if a Toyota Eco does the same... at 1/3rd of the price.
