Just ignore it?

No, I say get much tougher and it won't be as much fun doing it but not only jail and stuff like the do here in the US. Take them out and break their arms and legs, post the pics everywhere and let's see how many people think it's fun to spam after that.

I have lost hundreds if not thousands of hours over the years fixing stuff because of virii and spam.
