If you want the charge to stick, do your job by the book
don't second guess. Measure twice and cut once or get your bust overturned or parts thrown out by your own lack of proper and due processing. There's a big difference with a judge over I feel, I think, and I know what I am lawfully tasked to do and a particular time. You don't make it up, fake it up, or hope its up and up. Otherwise, you can see whatever you do is legal just because you've got a badge, including excessive force or unwarranted searches. What next, pre-emptive searching of a passerby because it was convenient?
