even an idiot can make a good point

ug! I agree that Norton AV is arguably the worst of breed. but I have to say:
1) Good AV software is available adn should be used on every pc
2) Your an idiot! If they have the media (cd/dvd) for the OS, they can get the files even if the media is pirated (pirated=illegal copy, once again .....COPY)
3) The most capable people and systems in China don't run Windows or Symantec AV.
4) As you so aptly pointed out, China is a "one copy" country. They can't sue Symantec if they are using the product without a license. Furthermoore, if they are using a licensed version, Symantec is protected by it's EULA that caps the max liability at the purchase price for the license.
