It has already been helpful to me in dealing with spam on Linux. As a result of DKIM, over 90% of the spam I receive goes directly into the junk bin. The really great thing about this is that the remaining 10% IS usually traceable, and all it will take is one mad enough recipient to put these people out of business. Even now it is making my life a WHOLE lot easier, and that will only get better as more mailers adopt DKIM.
