Will there be public answers when the defense subpoena Microsoft execs and developers and ask the questions such as:-
When was the vendor, Microsoft notified about the vulnerability that the worm exploited?
How long a time after notifcation did Microsoft take before releasing a fix that removed the vulnerability that the worm exploited?
Why did Microsoft wait so long to release a fix?
At that point in time, how many similar notified exploitable vulnerabilities in the same software?
How long did those exploitable vulnerabilities remained open?
At this current point in time, today, how many similar such notified exploitable vulnerabilities remain open?
Is there any other software vendor in the market which leaves such notified exploitable vulnerabilities open to exploitablation for so long a time after being notified?
How many times did the security professional who notified you of the vulnerabilities exploited by the worm contact you in respects to providing a n update to close the vulnerability?
How many variations of Virus and Worm are currently actively exploiting exposed vulnerabilities?
Don't you recognise this threat as a major risk to your customers?
How long has it been since the Word6-Concept virus has was released?
How many variation of Microsoft software exploiting worms have their been since?
How many public complaints and reports have there been about the lack of security in Microsoft's applications?
At what point does bad publicity force Microsoft into releasing an update to fix a vulnerability?
Does Microsoft recognize that that many non-distructive worms and virus have contained comments about the lack of security in Microsoft's products?
If the latter could such comments with concrete demonstration of an exploit represent a form of protest?
How many instances of non-distructive worms and virus have exploited notified exploitable vulnerabilities before a distructive variation has forced Microsoft to release an update?
