Not to worry. ZDNet will most definitely not pay attention and end up loosing their current readership for the forums.

About 5 or 6 years ago InfoWorld did the same thing. We begged them to take the various suggestions offered by the professionals who participated in the forums, but they refused. People even offered to develope the forums for free just so it would done right.

Again, IW refused.
And their forum userbase shows what happened.

They took a lively, well attended group of people and alienated everyone.

And killed the forums.

Looks like ZDNet is next.

*sigh*
