Hmmm. Good question.
Well, I guess if the thief was intelligent, he would steal a Windows machine. More of them are in use, thus easier to peddle on the street. Unless of course the thief wanted it for their own use. Then I suppose it would depend on their particular needs. We should study that. Do thieves prefer Windows or Mac's?

Of course, we need to attempt to factor in which state the thefts occurred in. For example, my state is a "shall issue" state so more people carry handguns. Muggers don't care for that concept. Accordingly, we must ask if Windows users or Mac users are more likely to carry a weapon. Once answered, we must determine if the possible presence of a firearm decreases the likelihood of a mugging. I would have to guess that it does.

Therefore, we can say that whether it is a "Microsux" or Apple machine, the presence of a 9mm greatly enhances the security of the OS and its user. Then again, would the 9mm be for Apple users and the .40 caliber be for Windows users? Perhaps as a tribute to Billy, Windows people just carry a pie to smash in the mugger's face. Oh, so many possibilities. Dang.... and what do Linux people prefer? Is there an open source handgun to be had anywhere?

We should engage the respective zealots in a survey about their weapon of preference. Curious minds want to know.
