Comparing Apples to ______?
This isnt windows. For *nix there is an administrator account, and a root account

Excuse me? In windows there is the Power Users group and the Administrators group. Windows will run just fine under a Power User account. All of our employees do it. Power users can write files to *most* areas of the disk, but cannot change system files. They can install programs that keep to the user's profile and don't try to screw with the system, and they can even create other users with the same or less privledges. Just becuase people don't take advantage of the security features available in Windows doesn't mean they don't exist.

This exploit as far as I am concerened is rather lame.

How in the heck is the vulnerability lame? I'm no OSX expert and don't know what exactly the administrator account entails, but just by the sound of it(ad-min-in-stra-tor), I'm sure the account has access to quite a large chunk of the files on the machine, including user data and can probably do other nasty things - like send data over the internet.

Am I wrong?
