It is indeed very lax for Google to allow advertisers to install malicious code onto my computer, but the problem that really gets me going is when I try and search for lets say butterflies and the first sites that it pulls up re-direct me to a car sales or insurance site. I own a website that sells framed butterflies and need to do research on various butterfly species. Without fail, the top listings re-direct and worse after re-direction, they disable the ability to go back to the google search page. Google states in it's Web Guidelines that re-direction is looked down on and will hurt your site ranking in searches. Then why are the top sites re-directing? Makes me wonder if Google is really commited to fair rankings!
