Advertiseing

Question: Is there such a thing as "GOOD" advertiseing vs so called "BAD" advertiseing? Is advertiseing (commercial speech) merely one more form of communication and information exchange or is it brainwashing and mind manipulation bordering on RAPE. The mere fact of it its pervasiveness and seeming indispensability in the present economic order are irrelevant considerations as to its moral legitamacy. Slavery and other forms of Gross human degradation have all been systematized and institutionalized and been justified on conservative and economic grounds as natureal, normal, and necessary for stability and prosperity. So perhaps the real issue is not whether GOOGLE was lax in filtering its sponsors but whether any attempt to use knowledge as the means to the end of stimulateing our hungers and appetites or other needs and wants in the name of making money is the death of the whole person and the spiritual dimensions that elevate our species beyond its animalistic past.
