"That's because law enforcement officers want to be able to read the data at traffic stops, he said, and it would be too costly for them to carry special readers that had to be "rekeyed" frequently."
Traffic stops? What does getting a speeding ticket have to do with terrorism???
The answer: nothing. What police want is total access and control over your ID, your movements and your history. They want to know everything, just in case you are a "threat". Threat to who? To them, not the American public.
Unfortunately, American citizens are so apathetic about their rights that it will take some horrible pain and abuse before the citizens try to re-assert themselves, and it will be too late. The Constitution is almost gutted already, and the authorities have sweeping new powers to use and abuse at will. Nobody can stop the process now.
Real ID, permanent "emergency" powers, and the destruction of the Constitution will be here. The governors can try and slow it down, but they can't fight Washington. Nobody can. They won't even try real hard, because in the end, they will get some shreds of power left to them, while the people have absolutely none. - Posted by: terry flores Posted on: 04/28/07 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
