?But he acknowledged that only a Real ID-compliant license will allow Americans to do things like board airplanes or enter federal buildings. (A U.S. passport issued by the State Department--new ones have RFID tracking chips embedded--could be a substitute.) He emphasized the importance of pushing ahead with the new standards, which supporters say are necessary to keep terrorists and other dangerous people out of spaces where they could do harm.?

All this does is hinder law abiding citizens and turns this nation into a police state. What's next, you can't access public buildings such as grocery stores or hardware stores without a ?real id?? This is one step closer to dismantling the Constitution and the Republic for which it was created to uphold and defend.

As for dangerous people getting where they can do harm. This is not going to slow them down one whit. And one other thing the danger is more imminent and real from our own government than some religious fanatic, oh wait, not much difference now is there?

?The congressman's remarks come as more and more states have passed measures this year rejecting participation in the federal scheme. Earlier this month, governors in Montana and Washington joined other states in expressing varying degrees of opposition--all the way up to a complete refusal to participate--to Real ID.?

Yes because they see the wolf in sheep skin for what it is. Hallelujah to those that oppose the real id! Those are true patriots! Ones that will not let fear abolish their freedoms to live and move about this nation. Freedom comes with a price, if you are not willing to pay the price then move to Iran, Iraq, Turkey or any other nation that is about government control and oppression. Don't impede on my freedom because you are a coward.

?They have balked at the idea, for instance, that the information on the licenses' mandatory bar codes, which could be scanned by banks, bars and other businesses, is not currently required to be encrypted.?

Allowing this kind of behavior is tantamount to Fascist Germany circa 1939. Show your papers and if you go where we tell you not to go you will go somewhere you don't want to go. The idea of allowing this level of intrusion into our private lives reeks of Fascist intent!

Homeland security? Sounds very much like Nationalist Germany 1936-45 - F?r das Heimatland. Eine Nation ein F?hrer! Loben Sie den F?hrer! Sorry but the 21st century United States is starting to sound like this, at least the political leaders are. History is scary, but it's absolutely terrifying when you are seeing it repeated in your lifetime! devil
