Microsoft didn't have control over that
I agree, but whether they had control or not, it still wasn't good press for MS and 2003 Server. Same goes for Cisco, it makes no difference what the reality of the situation is, it still looks bad. Actually, in the long run it could be a good thing for Cisco, if their source code stands up to scrutiny.
