About time the SMUG Mac Users got some come-uppance
I can regrettably remember saying some of that "just switch to Mac... we don't have to worry about viruses" talk a few years back before I came back to Windoze, myself... but even then, I admitted it was largely because Macs were such a small part of the installed userbase and weren't enough "in the crosshairs" of the virus writers yet, and that the day would likely come.

Yet when the first big Vista vulnerability patch had to be made a few weeks back, I saw some posts titled, "Just get a Mac!" Well, now those folks can't be quite so SMUG, can they?

One should NEVER be smug about such things... We really CAN'T control what OTHERS do -- that means that we can't EVER be certain someone creates a foolproof operating system that is invulnerable to hacking and viruses, and we CERTAINLY can't be sure that regardless of how good the OS and/or our virus protection/firewall software is, there won't be hackers and virus writers out there even smarter and more determined who WILL find a way through it and around it.

None of us can afford to be SMUG. We need to all stand TOGETHER -- whether Mac OR Windoze.
