If you have uninstalled norton. leave it like that for the moment. Click on start, search, and type norton then hit go. delete and files in windows explorer with norton. Do the same thing with the word symantec. Now go back to stat, run, then type reg edit. !!!!BACK THIS FILE UP BEFORE FIDDLING WITH IT!!!! under the edit menu type symantec and hit go. delete all files it finds. (when it finds one hit delete, confirm then F3. Continue till it can't find any more. Do the same with the word Norton. now do these last two operations till there is nothing left.
Close regedit and reboot. Now install norton again. This should give you back your subscription. good luck. Manually run live update EVERY DAY. sometimes there are updates that do not download automatically.
