If you bothered to read the article, as opposed to going into your very own variation of the classic "Mike Cox" mode, you would have discovered that it is causing headaches etc around the world.

Other than that, all corporations do not in fact strip out zip file attachments. I'd hazard the guess that only a very very small minority would even think of doing that.
