Can't really fault that logic...
You break it, you bought it. Once again, people think that companies, especially Microsoft, shouldn't be held accountable for any problems they cause. The first problem was that Microsoft allowed this ocx to be linked to directly. Microsoft owns everything in their kernel, and this is a behavior that is clearly allowed even though apparently it should not be as we are seeing. If it's allowed, somebody is going to do it. One thing the OS vendor can't do is change the rules as to what's allowed overnight. They have to give software developers time to see what the rules changes were and if they have code that needs to be changed. If they are forced to change the rules overnight, they have to support those developers who didn't get the time required to review their code. If that doesn't happen, software companies will start to lose faith in the OS because the whole foundation of software is "the rules". This is a concept Lovey will just never understand because he suffers from a mild case of oris amplexus pubertas.
