Microsoft's patch changed the way the OS operated with the software, so NOW their patch for their patch makes the OS work with the software again.

It's just like the way Service Pack 2 for Windows 2003 server blows away the Help and Support Service in 2003 SBS and a lot of 2003 Server Standard installations. You have to, by hand, re-register and restart the HandS service

MS changed the rules, kinda like the rules changes in the movie Roller Ball, where the people with the power would change the rules of THEIR game just to make sure they STAYED in power.
