Hardware does not a computer make
It is the operating system that makes the most crucial difference between
computers. The "lock-in" means that, no matter what PC you purchase, Windows is
ubiquitous and therefore ALL PCs regardless of their maker or specs are essentially
the same and all subject to ONE OPERATING SYSTEM's faults.

Also, homogenous networks are a more desirable target for hackers, versus
networks consisting of Windows AND Mac AND/OR Linux or others.

Now that they're running on Intel CPUs,Apple' computers offer the greatest options
and the LEAST lock-in, as they can run Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. They're the
best of all worlds.
