clear and present danger?
ONly in your mind. If you keep your machine patched and virus defs updated, there is no danger.

First I don't use ANY microsoft products other than Windows. I use a cable access hub with NAT and good virus protection. I HAVE NEVER HAD A VIRUS or WORM!

Microsoft should not be responsible for pirated copies nor should they be responsible for those machines of people to lazy to keep their machines patched.

If you truely want to be virus worry-free, then switch to another OS. Take responsiblity for YOUR OWN ACTIONS and stop blaming Microsoft.
