What about those of us who do have legitimate copies of the OS and have to spend extra time securing against those who don't because they can't get the latest security updates?

I agree that those that pirate the OS shouldn't get any benefits from it, but I also believe that I shouldn't have to worry that thousands of zombie machines will run a DDOS attack on my bank because MS will not step up to the plate and take security seriously.
