Last version of windows
XP is probably the last version of windows that will be commercially successful. Longhorn requires *SO MUCH* hardware to run that you won't have that when it comes out. It will have new huge security holes so it can be a media-OS and let you play video without fully booting it up. It will have digital rights management on everything so you'll be hassled when you try to use the computer. Also, alternatives such as Linux will be 2 years more towards what consumers want by the time Longhorn comes out.

XP-SP2 might be the last version of windows you want to run.
