TJX Point of Sale Breach
Millions of years ago, I serviced Point of Sale (POS) machines for various companies. Even then I pointed out to my managers that they need to have the security features enabled. To this day, most retailers don't because it requires addition code blocks in the main. Adding them is simple, but the charge for them is huge. Cellular phones where most likely used for the breach. Today retailers are just getting wise to this, but still refuse to pay for the security. Until cyber-security becomes a norm, this will continue to suck billions of dollars from the ecomony with the cost transferred to the customer.
