maybe they aren't the only filtering blocking Yahoo...
Apparently some of the other popular HOSTS file readily available on the Web are/were also blocking Yahoo.

I had to go through and remove all the *.Yahoo.com, .yimg, map sites, photo sites, etc. from the HOSTS file when I updated in the last couple weeks as well.

I have to think that the same reasoning was used with these other HOSTS files as was used with Websense or they are using the same sources for that information.

I am wondering if there has been some bad change in the way Yahoo has done things that prompted this, or at least at one point so that they themselves caused their sites to be flagged by so many researchers lists?

Maybe this is something that should be looked into further? Maybe Yahoo has started dealing with some of the more heavy handed adware/spyware purveyors? Who knows.
