...not all software has the same flaws in it year after year, release after release. How long were buffer overflows a problem in many windows versions? (still?) And this was a "known problem".

And, is the eula legal? I believe it is or soon will be challenged, and rightly so. What other product is sold new that the seller has no liability for.

Microsoft eulas are beyond rediculous!

I know this analogy has been used before, but if one leaves the keys in one's car and the doors unlocked and someone steals it then the owner of the vehicle is partially responsible, at least according to my brother-in-law's insurance company. (yes he did)

BTW, why do some people take what other people said to such extremes? The other poster mentioned fixing known problems, and you leap to fool proof.

And if a person commits a crime, intentionally, isn't their sanity already in question?
