This is, of course, precisely what you should expect when you attack someone's religious beliefs. And make no mistake: for some people, Microsoft isn't a business, it's a Way of Life and something close to a belief system. Attack Microsoft and you attack its true believers, which makes them grumpy. >;-)

That aside, Microsoft customers who aren't part of the Church of Bill might want to ask themselves how much of their constantly escalating licensing costs are driven by the company's bad market decisions. If they continue to lose hundreds of millions in their various failed ventures, the difference has to come from *somewhere*, doesn't it? And given their monopoly position, you can just bet it won't come out of the pockets of shareholders.
