Raising the Bar
Would have been impossible. Apple had a 3 year lead on
them. My Airport network in my house will have been
around for 5 years this fall. Everytime I have added a new
computer it has taken less than 5 minutes to configure.
Each computer finds the base station by itself and when it
is found it asks how you wish to connect to the internet.
When you check off Airport in the networking control panel
it finds your IP on the basestation and you are on the net.

Finding another computer only requires turning on file
sharing.
