It's more like that Microsoft's bugs are more "fun" particularly because of the reaction they engender on forums like this.

Anyhow, all frivolity aside. I'm still wondering why Coverity has US government support. It seems odd that they are doing this. I know it's a somewhat interesting research project that would be hard to accomplish with a closed source code base, but is there a "deeper reason?"
