The plain and simple of it all is this.... It's far too intrusive.
It makes it far too easy for government to track its citizens. Government will abuse this capabilities you can be sure. We have seen it over and over. The pathetic thing is that what we have seen and what they have been caught at almost certainly represents a small percentage of the unethical and/or illegal tracking and monitoring of citizens that occurs.
Never mind forcing the states to bear the cost. That's bad enough on its own. The real problem though is Real ID itself. One step closer to Big Brother and one step away from being a free citizen. - Posted by: shawkins Posted on: 03/27/07 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
