A better idea
Microsoft have $38 billion. In cash. That's twice the budget allocated for the rebuilding of Iraq. Why don't they just re-write their virus infested, worm stuffed spyware system from the ground up?

Ahhh, I guess not. When a gravy train has made you 38 billion in cash, you don't use that money to dismantle the gravy train.

Which Means Microsoft using businesses will just have to absorb the cost of weekly virus, worm and trojan exploits out of their own bottom line. Especially since Microsoft products can't be used until the vendor agrees in advance that, even if the software doesn't work and they lose their shirt, Microsoft are not responsible, if they lose data, or their business, due to sloppy, barely-fit-for-purpose software, Microsoft can not be held accountable.

It will be a while yet before the malware propogation and spying system currently infesting a huge percentage of desktops under the name "Windows" is relegated to its rightful place as a console OS for an advertising based toll-booth to cheesy and expensive proprietary subscription services sold by those convicted monopolists in Redmond, America.

The rest of the world is turning to open source, despite what the paid shills would like you to believe.

PS - Not even Thursday yet, and already two new Windows only virus have been announced today - Torvil A and Torvil B - how long until the next rolled up Microsoft patch? Plenty of time to get your windows box infested. I'm sure. I would advise all the Microsoft shills to update their patches NOW, so they don't get caught out, and find themsleves unable to post pro-Microsoft propaganda later in the week wink
