Linux vs Windows
I've got one Linux computer and we have 3 Windows computers in our house. The Linux box just keeps chugging along with no problems. I can't view some media forms (proprietary Microsoft types) with it, and some MS Office documents don't come out 100% right on it. Linux was better at finding the right drivers for some hardware than Windows. It took quite a while to install, but then so does Windows. To install Windows so it is secure still takes more knowledge than pulling it out of the box and stuffing a disc in the drive. The most difficult thing about configuring Linux is that it gives you so many options, and if you don't know what each program does you may not know which options will be best for you.
