Please dont take me wrong. I think you need to read more on it...
What Microsoft is trying to do is already implemented on IBM laptops belive it or not. IBM would probably do it the same way as Microsoft but two things are standing on their way.
a. They dont have OS to run on it (Talking about Intel/AMD) platform.
b. IBM will be the last company working with Intel or AMD. Also Intel and AMD would never work with IBM even if that would be the last company on the planet.
P.S. Red Hat is working on the same thing. I hope they do good job as Fedora Core 64 bit runs great. I can not afford this for my home yet but very soon.
