Security by obscurity is NO Security at all!
I know the sentiment you are trying to pull ... but security through obscurity is no security at all. It means that insiders get the jump on those that are outside, and it means that anyone routinely trying to attack and figure out how things work may find a weakness that no one else will know about, and as such find a way to criple the servers.

With everyone knowing the problem, the good guys can work on ways cooperatively to solve it, rather than only reacting when an attack does occur, and wasting time getting up to speed on how the system works, etc.

With more information about how the system works, more good-guys can poke at the system to see if they find any additional faults .. make those faults public (perhaps only to icann/roots first, and later general populus) and with that, find ways to secure the system from that next newest fault found before the bad-guys find it and exploit away..
