More and more people...
Are getting tired of Microsoft's attitude. My first major problem
with Microsoft was their lying about windows 95. My system at
the time, was above the minimum specs for win95. Yet it would
not boot properly. After 4 hours on hold, the MS technical
support person took almost half a hour, to "help" me. The final
answer from the MS tech, buy a new machine. When I asked for
a refund of my money (for the purchase of win95), I was told
that I had installed it, so I was out of luck. Even though it didn't
work, I was stuck with a license that was not being used. IN an
effort to give them one more chance, when win 98 came out, I
did upgrade. I found that it broke some software that had
worked under win95. One particular game F-117 Stealth Fighter,
kept crashing and taking the system down. Microsoft said it was
the vendors problem, not their changes to the system. Funny, it
worked just fine in win95, No one at Microsoft was willing to
help, after all it was something they did. QuickTime started
giving error messages, that it had not previously had. there were
other errors that "suddenly" started to happen. Mind you this
was with software that had previously worked. That was when I
decided to give up hope on Microsoft. I still use windows at
work, but have decided to not use it at home. Mac OS 8.6 wasn't
the greatest, but it was certainly better than windows 98. I find
that OS X is far better than any version of windows. As a side
bonus, you're not stuck with and forced to patch software you
don't use.

As for you lame comment, which I quote.

Linux and Apple fans are ever so sensitive to their sorry lot in
life, i.e. ignored by the mainstream, and ever quick to fantasize
that most people hate Microsoft as they apparently do
themselves. But I'm just a regular person, and I love them!

It's just an attack on anyone that doesn't agree with you. How is
using a better OS, being "sensitive to their sorry lot in life". Is
missing out on the virus of the week, or patch of the day, a bad
thing? Is actually having a choice as to what software is installed
a bad thing? Is being able to remove unwanted software a bad
thing? If you think it is, then you're just the type of ignorant
person Microsoft wants as a user.
