PGP creator sees threat in Moore's law

The Threat is a 2-edged Sword Sir

Shame on you Mr. Zimmermann: Some might call your statement "fear-
mongering" or "FUD" but out of a kinder spirit, I see a person making a statement
built upon a narrow vision!

Perhaps, and most probably having a tightly focused and powerful intellect is what
makes you formidable in the microverse of PGP-acolytes, but your statement and
your view is that of a man, a mortal, standing on a Giants head and yelling to the
world, All is clear, I see no giants yet!'
Mr. Moore IS that giant.

His "law" whose existence is bound by the laws of physical size and simple
doubling( not the introduction of something arcane and unknown, but something-
two things of a brute fundamental sort-) has a now visible life expectancy.

We will have photonic or quantum computing within the lifetime of our youngest
children, SO, do we just STOP innovating and creating because the illustrious but
narrowly focused Herr Zimmermann with his enhanced ego cannot see that
Moores Law CAN WORK FOR US AS MUCH AS AGAINST US?!!!

FURTHER, humanity has some hard choices to make over which it has somewhat
agonized but largely treated as entertainment material: Do we allow artificially
intelligent agents and automation function in these 'problematic' issues where
human greed and miserable folly have taken such a powerful hold- we would not
need PGP or anything else if we ALL wanted to just play fair and get along.

When do we just make machines who fight crime at lightning speeds no matter
the source? We write/right the laws, they enforce them. They catch the 'bad guys'
and we incarcerate/prosecute.
Now, when these machines start locking up politicians, prime ministers,
ambassadors, religious leaders, and presidents, do we shut them off and start
over or do we follow through and enforce the laws we wrote?!

Moores Law is NOT the problem Mr. PGP-Creator.
But, narrow focus does not work EVERYWHERE. (Dont you have children?? You
should know this then!)
