"Using a NAT router between you and the broadband connection just makes sense, especially with the cost of such routers falling weekly. A decent router with 4-6 ports can easily handle most home networks of Mom and Dad, and little Jimmie's and Susie's machines. And block unused ports!!!"

not to mention the cost savings if you are paying a ISP for more then one IP
