This is the way it's supposed to be
Notice, no publicity until the fix. Then it's revealed that a number of security
experts contributed to finding the bug, and Apple patched it and credited them.
No publicity stunts, no disclosure of vulnerabilities out of the blue. Reputable
security workers tell Apple, they fix it, and it's done.

More to my basic point of view: anybody who discloses a same-day exploit
without giving the company due warning is an enabler of malware writers, and is
guilty of a criminal offense. The legal precedent is this: if you contribute to the
commission of a felony, you're guilty of the felony. If you told the burglar where to
find the jewels, you're a burglar. If you and your homeys go to threaten someone,
and a fight starts and the guy is killed, you're guilty of manslaughter, or murder.

This is a serious matter, people. Up to a quarter of the Windows machines on the
net are zombies, sending junk mail, making more zombies, and running DOS
exploits. That interferes with personal property (your computer) and threatens
national security.

I hope the guys who found and reported these vulnerabilities got more than a pat
on the back. The good guys deserve to be paid.
