Patching is good!.
I don't think fixing software is a bad thing. It's the not fixing that is bad. Apple
tests their code. In fact Apple's code is very clean.

Also, it does just work. At least I don't have to be on constant alert for viruses,
worms and spyware. I'm sure people like you will be blasting Apple all over the
internet if Apple actually does get exploited, so it's not like I have to run software
that is buggy in itself just to keep viruses and spyware off my Mac. My Mac is
more stable, more secure and just a better experience for me. I spend thousands
on software, why shouldn't I get a better computing experience out of my
hardware and operating system? It's very hard to be creative on demand. It's
harder if I'm fighting with cheap hardware and an unstable operating system that
crumbles under a heavy load. When I'm crunching at deadline, I don't want to be
stuck with Windows crashes and driver issues, much less spyware and virus
issues.

Microsoft does a fine job of making Windows work with so many different
hardware configurations, including some really crappy hardware and drivers, but
when I absolutely need to get something done, there is only one choice for me,
Macintosh. If Windows works for you, you should buy it and not complain about a
computer you know nothing about.
