Unfortunately...
....while I agree with you that the previous commenter could have been much more tactful, sad to say, there are many users out there who suffer not from simple lack of experience but from willful ignorance. I have a good friend who has been spending hours gaming on his PC every day for years, who is quite intelligent, works in electronic repair and is studying toward a couple of degrees, but has never bothered to educate himself about how his PC really works and has all sorts of problems with it as a result. It baffles me how anyone could own a complex and expensive piece of equipment and not want to get the most out of it by learning how to operate it properly, but there you have it...
