I am not sure what you mean by "half right"
You seem to agree with everything I said. The only difference is that you claim the vendors "intend" to provide a "high level of customer support" and then you agree that they never do and "why should they?"

Well they don't. I doubt that they intended to either. They just promote the idea that they will use these, while never really intending to, in order to get naive buyers to assume that they will after all.

But undoubtedly, we both agree that they are never used.
