Sorry for your problems, but why did you upgrade?
If you had a functioning system, why did you upgrade BEFORE checking on the compatiblity of your hardware and software?

I've see a lot of posts complaining that about program XYZ not working after they upgraded and wondering why ANYONE would go out and spend money on something may or may not work before doing a simple web search.
