all of you whiners and ignorant people. MS is a major software corporation so of course they will be much more susceptible to attacks. The same thing can be said if some other software company becomes big. The majority of computer users have MS products so if the attacker goes after MS then he/she will get to more people, which is exactly the purpose of attackers. When a company designs a software, there's absolutely no way they can anticipate all types of attacks. So when attacks do happen, finding a way to fix it up in a timely manner is the next best thing.

as for other word processing programs, well mainly the reason why they aren't targeted is because not a lot of people use them...so why waste time attacking those programs. since MS holds the majority of the market, these kinds of attack are expected.

as for whoever said that office 2007 has those cartoony things and clippy...do you even have the software? if not then your opinion is invalid. office 2007 got rid of all of that. it looks very professional, and personally i like the new layout and new features.
