What Microsoft should be forced to do
Recall every computer in existance with Windows on it and replace it.
From http://zdnet.com.com/2100-1105-5201807.html?tag=nl
"the MSBlast worm that launched last August and ended up infecting more than 8 million computers by the end of March. Microsoft updated on Wednesday the number of computers cleaned of MSBlast to 9.5 million."

If MS Windows were a car the government would be recalling this thing in short time. Unreasonable as I may seem to be this has reached a point that goes beyond ridiculousness. Microsoft Windows swiss cheese security is a big threat to national, corporate and private security.

I wonder how many Windows users ordered the "new" security update disc. To Micorosft's credit this was a good move but severley lacking in method of distribution and customer awareness. A cursery check reveals that there has been at least 10 critical updates since the CDs release. So all those folks that upgraded the with CD are once again behind shortly after they installed.

Yeah Yeah I realize the trouble this would cause but if Microsoft were held responsible for the monetary losses due to business because of the installation of patches this BS would stop. I believe in free enterprise and I loathe lawsuits but I think a lawsuit against Microsoft may well be in order to make then fix or replace their faulty product.
