Running 2 or 3 programs
Interesting that Windows crashes if you run 2 or 3 programs. As I key this, I am printing, recording audio from a streaming source and have a word document along with Photoshop open. OH, and the sound card is applying realtime enhancements to the streaming audio. In total, there are 7 active processes and a lot more waiting for something to do. All of this is using about 40% peak of the AMD chip's processing power. Haven't seen a crash in weeks. Apple, while an interesting platform, no longer can claim to be immune from being attacked. Perhaps it is the challenge of attacking a Mac or perhaps as Windows security becomes better, the small but devoted Mac user community will come to enjoy the attacks that have been directed to the as we all know, widely detested, Windows community. It is probably more 'fun' to be able to cause problems with the masses than the few. Were Mac the most widely used platform, we would be reading about the constant attacks and the constant fixes. If you want total security, run a IBM mainframe with RACF. JL
