Don't worry you sound silly

The reason you do not see piles of Microsoft advocates jumping all over this is because there really is little to no point. When the most current version dosnt support the exploit, and the original vulnerability was one that was very unlikely to see much if any real intrusions its not worth getting too worked up about. Use XP long enough and you soon discover that hundreds of so called exploits get mentioned for Windows and you never get hit with any of them anyway. Whats the sense in jumping up and down about an open source flaw thats already been fixed and was unlikely to result in any real security breach's anyway.
