There is another type of Bot out in the wild, likely it takes advantage of a sneak already onboard, and explains some of the anomalies associated with it. i call it the front end, and perhaps part of the large attack some time ago, as it goes afer the Auto protect, and firewall, then calls the download of mail associated with it, carrying a payload of nasties, which it activates.
Now that the Whois servers are hacked (Text insults toward Microsoft), likely the Registrars are as well, and its only a matter of time, till any machine if connected to the net is wide open.
All you can do is back up folks, and jump right back on, when taken down. Develope a quick strategy of reinstall, at the present till the braint geeks solve this one, all we can do
